Who else carries their M camera all the time?

I take my M9 with 35/50/90 and a 13" Macbook Pro in a black Hadley Pro back and forth to the studio everyday. On weekends I take just the M9 with 35/90, a spare card and battery in a Domkie F5XB with me on walks or it rides behind the seat of my truck.

Same here, except that I carry the M with 3 lenses and not 2, and I carry them in a khaki Domke F-10. My story is exactly the same: I missed out on some occasions and this counts also for the SAA 90mm which I never leave at home. Otherwise I would have carried a more compact bag perhaps. It depends on my mood and destination which 2 of my 6 other lenses I choose that day.

it looks like I'm in good company. It's good to see so many M users carrying their cameras all the time.

 

You can never tell when a good image will present itself. Better to be ready than sorry.

I carry my M8.2 with me everywhere. I have a CV 35mm f'/1.4 attached to it permanently. The only other thing I have in the little Lowepro bag is an extra battery and an ND filter. That's all.

Yep me too, in a small Artisan & Artist bag, with wallet, mobile phone and a few bits (ND filter, battery,cloth etc)

 

It's over my shoulder when I leave the house and is my daily 'man bag', even if it doesn't see the light of day it's in my bag.

 

Today it's with my 35 Summaron f2.8

PS - and a tiny Sekonic Twinmate L-208 if light conditions look as though they will be changing alot.

I take my camera every day to work and to be honest, everywhere else.

 

I just take my M (currently a Monochrom) with one lens, currently a 50mm Summilux ASPH.

 

It fits perfectly in a small Kata DC433. I like this bag as it just fits the camera but an also take one other lens if required as well as lens cleaning clothes and some spare SD cards. The design of the 433 is excellent. It has rigid sides for protection and a yellow interior to see where you have put things. Most of all the strap connections swivel, so you can never put over your shoulder the wrong way round.

 

I then "dock" it in a larger bag if it am going to work. Either a Crumpler muffin top 5500 or, if I have more to carry, a Kata backpack where the 433 fits neatly in the DSLR section.

 

I was thinking of a Hadley pro, as it can take A4 notes and also a small laptop it required whilst still being svelte and could take the 433.

 

The issue I have is that I go shooting at lunch time, so I don't want to take the whole bag, just a small one with the camera, thus the 433.

 

I have tried other small bags for the M, but I have found them mostly badly desiged. There are so many "so called" camera bags which don't have flaps protecting the zips, which means every time you take out, or put in, the camera, you have to shield it from a zip scratch .....

 

If anyone knows a bag just the size for an M and lenses but both ridged and subtle (ie doesn't look like a camera bag) I would be interested.

As I go to work I generally have one of the Ms and some other kit in my Crumpler backpack.

My normal carry everywhere is either my GRDIII or my Leica II with 5cm Elmar.

i have to say the GRD-III is an amazing pocket camera. My last week with it has been superb....the camera is amazing. Leica need to make a pocket camera this good. I have owned D-Lux cameras in the past....but they are nowhere near as good as the GRD.

M9 with lux 35 pre asph mounted and CV 12/5.6, cron 50 and tele-elmarit 90 in the bag (J1 or F6) at the moment.

 

That said I rarely feel the urge to press the button. I have no desire to fill my hi-speed hard drive with countless mundane and banal images to stare at with the wide eyed fervour of some shaking and salivating trainspotter (with apologies to all trainspotters).

 

These days... I'm just humbled by a growing awareness of 'light' and potential composition seemingly validated by possession of hardware - the potential of which, sadly acknowledged, will never be realised in these hands.

 

Ah, the cursed bite of that Domke strap on my weak, old, rounded shoulder serves as a cruel reminder, and so it is, enjoy fw.

M3 SS and a Nokton 40/1.4. Sometimes I sneak in a Pentax Q cause it is so damn small. All goes in my A & A black hard canvas bag. Usually includes a mini cigar or two, flashlight and some reading material. good to go.

I only have it since a pair of month, but I find myself increasingly taking it when I step out the door (hence my small bag) - except when I go to the grocery store (for now). I already would have missed the snow falling an evening in the streets of Paris, without this wonderfull bad habit.

I always carry the M9, sometimes with the M6 as well.

Having the camera, even when being out for whatever not photographic occupation it can be, opens up the possibility of doing something totally different in the middle of that occupation. Making a photo means an escapade, going to another dimension, isn´t it?

I carry my M9-P & 50mm Summilux ASPH with me pretty much all the time, along with a spare battery , lens cloth, and extra SDHC card. I have a small bag by Leica that I use most of the time.

My Billingham Packington is my every day bag. It goes with me to work and every time I go out. It carries my 11 inch Macbook Air and a camera. The camera is either a M (M9 or M2) or one of my two DMRs.

I carry my m8 and 28mm Carl Zeiss or the m2 and 35mm voigtlander every single day everywhere I go. Its kind of like the cell phone now, where if I forget it, I have to go back home to get it. Having the camera on me at all times is now very important to me.

My M9 lives in the center console of my truck. I keep two charged batteries in my pockets because a few days at sub-zero F weather kills the camera battery.

 

For walking about, a Super Ikonta 6x4.5cm is my favorite. It is smaller than an M9.

I usually have a camera with me most often in a strap over my shoulder. Rarely do I bring an extra lens. I find that it challenges me photographically in a positive way if I have to pick a lens in the morning without clue as to what the day might hold. Today it's an Elmarit-M on the TTL.

 

I don't have a dedicated camera bag but use a Crumpler Wonder Weenie which is an excellent, waterproof bag that doesn't say "come grab my gear".
