ericborgstrom Posted May 20, 2011 Share #124 Posted May 20, 2011 15 months, 13 happy and two with the M9 on a round trip to Solms. What happened was that the right eyelet for the carrying strap came off as the interior part fell loose and subsequently jammed (?) the shutter non-functional. Solms fixed this for free. kiwicafe Posted May 20, 2011 Share #127 Posted May 20, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) + 9 months Nothing in life is perfect, to all the whingers, deal with it! First off my M9 has been back to Solm twice, both to deal with a faulty sensor, their attitude was, clean your sensor. If that was the issue why did they replace it and say it was faulty, it was giving me blank frames. Secondly I have noticed that the body does not wear well. My camera goes everywhere with me. It is used as a camera is meant to be used. For some one to call me a whinger when I complain about serious issues with my NZ$9000.00 camera needs to back off this Leica religious worship. The reality is that the body is simply not as well made as the Film Leica's or even the Digilux 2 which I still use. My M8 was totally rebuilt by Leica for my partner. And, friends who have M9's had to return them right out of the Box, they didn't work!

Washington Posted May 20, 2011 Share #133 Posted May 20, 2011 Odd thing. Since I got my M-9 in January last year I’ve used my Canon gear about 5 times. No problems…. not even with third party batteries. I’m a happy camper!

davidrundell99 Posted May 22, 2011 Share #140 Posted May 22, 2011 + 9 months. Rangefinder alignment problem (off at infinity) fixed under warranty. This was something of an annoyance as it was away for 2.5 months at Solms, but apart from that it has been faultless.
