  1. I bought a black M10 in January from B&H here in New York and I'm still waiting for it. I get reminders that it's still on back order but I do not receive any info on when they will send me one. I am looking forward to using it.
  2. Ok, I will shoot it finished…. uh, with a camera and not my cap and ball Ruger single action old army revolver which Clint Eastwood takes shots with.
  3. I’m getting some time of from the Leica Visoflex parts to finishish up the big remotoring job to the great Union Pacific Challenger I used to visit full size in the U.P. Shops in Cheyenne, WO. Huge things were they ever!
  4. I had to get a new back-up Mickey Mouse watch to time that brass 4-8-4 Northern Locomotive project which has finally got a big Great Northern Railroad big oil feeding hopper. Ja!!!
  5. Yes most likely as there were only 11,500 B, C and D series Vincents built between 1946 and 1955.
  6. Just now I am bringing back stored photos from the old Big Mac computer I junked in Colorado as it was too big and heavy to drag across the country. This article was done by Mick Duckworth who John Healy brought up to my Catskill shop from his big motorcycle parts business in Mass. You can see the old rangefinders I have apart on the workbench as well as the Vincent motorcycle parts.
  7. Again shot with the home repaired M-9 with a nice dual Konice 21-32 mm lens. This refinishing of old Japanese brass American steam engines gets messy….. maybe I ought to take them to a cheap auto body shoppee.
  8. Sun coming up and it’s time to get the wood stove going good. I am still using the M-9 I knocked over at night in Colorado with Visoflex and huge lens which were heavy and tore the bottom off the camera when hitting the floor. I used home brew to get it working again with a custom bottom securing device and it’s still working fine. Having no power made Photoshop frame joining quite crude…. pan layers hand joined.
  9. Good shots! I remember this old farm equipment being still used in the ’60’s by a farmer with two big Percherons to tow it.
  10. Busy getting pocket watches to all keep time. A sidewinder Waltham, a Railroad Grade 23 jewel Waltham Vanguard, two Railroad Balls one with the back off, and a Studebaker.
  11. OK,OK, I lied about Lee Miller being in my Paris darkroom when she was really in Ray Mann’s in the 1920’s, but did indeed get scared by a rat, turned on the light in the middle of print developing and got solerization which the the darkrooms owner Ray Man stole the credit for. This info I got got from my friend and her brother John Mc Donald Miller who whooped Amelia Earhart’s butt after she and her wealthy husband stole his #12 Pitcairn Autogyro that he was having built and was their test pilot. He told me she was a bad pilot…. and he had every reason to know. Anyway, when Amelia flew her Pitcairn to California to make a record she was told: to bad, Johnny came here in his a week ago, sorry!
  12. Come and listen you fellas so young and so fine, seek not your fortune in the cold dirty mine. It’ll form as a habit and seep in your soul. ‘till the stream of your blood runs as black as the coal. Merl Haggard wrote this song many years ago. He would have liked this picture too!
