Excited to see us (3 images)

In my long-winded response to Neil in my “Evil Spirit” thread in the People section I mentioned that children in Papua New Guinea frequently engulfed us when we arrived in small villages, making it difficult to get individual photos of people. Below are two examples of that excitement plus an example of some villages clearly not getting many visitors. Before long I’ll post some individual shots taken with some difficulty in these crowds.

Stuart..fantastic ! The 3rd is the strongest of all IMHO. I would try a crop from the top till ABOVE the stretched out arm to close the image, to enhance the natural diagonal angle.

Well seen and captured, all three Stuart.

You keep doing this!!

Excellent. Love one and two - can't decide which I like better. Maybe two for even greater sense of fun - but you need to have seen one first!

Lovely shots again. What great looking kids too - I'm almost tempted to say to my daughter (who's about that age) "see, you don't need a Nintendo to enjoy life!!".

Big, Martin, Armin, Peter, Gerald, John R and Neil - Thank you. Their exuberance was almost intoxicating.

Thorsten - Thank you. I used the frequently maligned 28-70, which accounts for 60 to 65% of my photos. I don't understand why people complain about this lens. Perhaps it's due to its less-than-setllar pedigree: Designed by Leica but made by a Japanese 3rd party (Sigma, I think).

Sam & John - Thank you. I liked the cut-off but wondered if Forum members would find it disturbing. I guess not.

Ivan - As always, an excellent idea regarding your crop suggestion. Hopefully I'll have time to try it tonight and post the results on this thread right afterwards. You'll be asleep then.
