    A year with the M60

I think you're going to like the technical simplicity of the M-D. It frees you to think only about the possibilities of the scene in front of you, rather than being concerned with the needs of the camera, well, it does in my experience at least.
  7. Yes, and I only have the matching 35 Lux, I don't cope well with choices

    A year with the M60

I know how I'm going to process them before I set out. Almost always in colour, aiming for an Astia look. I like to keep things simple.
  9. I don't know about "feeling Zen" but it's been a pleasure over the past year or so. http://macfilos.com/photo/leica-md-m60edition-reviews-tests-impressions It's been my only camera in that time, apart from a few nighttime shots with the D-lux. I'm happy, is there something wrong with me?
  10. Personally, I have found using the M60 for 17 months nothing but a pleasure. Mike Evans at Macfilos asked me to write about my experiences, if you're interested in one man's view. http://macfilos.com/photo/leica-md-m60edition-reviews-tests-impressions
  11. As Leica have now introduced the M-D, I thought it might be an appropriate time to share how I've managed for over a year shooting with a digital camera sans LCD. http://macfilos.com/photo/leica-md-m60edition-reviews-tests-impressions Spoiler alert: It's been fun.

    The Eagle has landed....

Nice camera and lens, I suspect you are in for some fun. Capture One handles the DNGs really well without much need for fiddling with settings. Best wishes.
  13. Andy, my M60 had a dusty sensor on delivery and again after a trip to Wetzlar for a rangefinder alignment, after getting knocked out by yours truly. It was no problem, as I'd bought a VisibleDust kit which does the job. It's not a cheap option, but it gives me peace of mind
  14. My M60 also shows I haven't updated the firmware, so yours probably has the original version too. I've had no problems with my camera in nearly a year of ownership, so I don't worry about the firmware version, after all, there's not much they can change or add. I hope you continue to enjoy your camera and your photography.
  15. I guess it's a personal thing, but I find the strap length perfect for either around the neck or on the shoulder. The camera and lens are also nice
