Noctilux: Why do you love it, or why not?

The only time I ‘loved’ my f1 noctilux was when I sold it for more than twice the price I paid for it.

I used my Noctilux f/1 extremely much the first year I had it. It is still the Leica lens I've taken most pictures with. But then I used it more and more rarely. I guess it was kind of "worn out". This spring I needed money, so I had to let it go, together with my 75 Summilux. These were my two most expensive lenses, and the two I used the least now. My 50 Summilux pre-ASPH has so much of the character of both of these lenses that I couldn't justify owning them anymore, and I needed the money.

Strangely enough, I haven't missed any of them much yet, but I bet I will, sooner or later. But for now, I enjoy my more compact lenses.

Love the rendering, hate the weight, size & price, which doubled in the last two years or so for the e58 f1
