Seems combination “Golf 4x4 Cabrio” was never produced by VW, but was put together by Biagini Passo in Italy using Golf Cabrio and Country Syncro as donors. (sorry about ref to Niva)

Now you got it. The mother company ACM produced several modified versions of the ARO 4x4 vehicles for the european market.

The other direction was the fun car under the name Biagini Passo (can be translated into "Ugly Duck", haha). Basically a VW Golf II Country SYNCHRO with a Golf I Cabrio body and a wild mix of parts from Fiat and Opel. Could be ordered at some VW dealerships! Main target market was south and eastern Europe. About 65 cars made, not sure how many survived the massive corrosion problem.

Here many outdoor photos of my riddle car. Your turn!

The amount of the produced cars varies from 63 to 300. Given how much trouble production of a single car was (getting a Country Synchro chassis and put a modified Golf I Cabrio body onto it) I think around 65 cars is more realistic.

Golf Country donor cars must have been hard to find and terribly expensive. Maybe they bought left over new Country Synchro parts from Magna-Steyr who made the Golf Country. ACM made their own frame and didn’t use the sub frame of the Golf Country so the car has more ground clearance than the Country (which is good).

Judging by known chassis numbers a higher amount than 100 cars can be possible but who knows how they counted 😉

About 5 or 6 surviving cars known in Germany.

This is a really interesting thread.  As a car lover, and one that photographs car shows every week, I have to admit that I have never seen most of these cars over here.  I see a lot of rare & vintage ones, but they're almost all American.   We get a lot of Ferrari's and Lambo's at our shows with the occasional Aston-Martin.  Last week a guy had a nice McLaren.  They are less common, but there are a few around.

Camaro5 -

Please do post interesting car photos, but in the future, please post them in new threads, or in continuing threads in which they make sense to be (such as this months Barnack's Challenge, is for photos of any sort of vehicle).  This particular thread in which you posted the McLaren is a game/puzzle thread in which a member posts a portion of a car photo, and other members try to identify the car.  Often, the member  posting the car will need to offer hints and/or more generous crops.  When somebody identifies a car, that member gets to post the next puzzle car.  And so on.

BTW:  Nice McLaren photo.

Welcome Camaro5! Stuart explained how this thread works and you have already followed it so we are looking forward to your participation within the threads rules. Out of the row, judged by the details I would say this is a McLaren, not sure about the model but it comes in a Lambo color 😉

Now back to the "little truck" of AZach. I would think this is a FORD truck judged by the wheels but not sure which model (A, AA, 1,5 tons ...). Someone should check the bonnet side slots for a closer determination, they do look a bit more "T/TT-ish" than "A/AA-ish" but the rest wouldn´t fit. I´m sure it is something with an "A" or similar because it looks "post-T".

Ford Model B (1932 onwards)?

Wilson

Possibly, but all Ford trucks I know of that era (incl. "B"-models) do have more than the four side slots in the bonnet like the riddle car. Maybe a license made with a different bonnet or maybe a standard model I don´t know.

It is a little 1934 truck but not a Ford.

Again another very tight crop, sorry 😉

Forget door handles or bonnet details, have a look at nearly the whole car.

Would maker and model be too much I am asking for?
