Luigi,

you had been fooled by two things:

steering wheel on the right (bad:D) side and the different logo (Touring) on the steeringwheel knob.

The Alfa Romeo here has a Touring body in "Super Leggera" version which means a fragile tube construction and a hand driven alumnium skin. The finish of this car was done in nitro and I guess handpolished to this deep darkblue shining.

Not the slightest ding or somethings else to spoil the reflections.

Referring to Ronald's proposal: just send us your GPS datas.....:)

Cheers

Bernd

Again, what a beauty! I really love most of the 6Cs from all decades, especially the "very special" ones.

OK, let´s go on, maker and model please.

No, Sir.

hmm, I made a mistake concerning the engine - it will be an V8 from Chrysler or the other two US makers.......

The Iso had a Chevy engine. Rona|d tells us the mytery car had the same source of engine and was Italian, suggesting the Bizzarrini 5300 GT, but the door handle is wrong. Hmmmm.

De Tomaso too used the US 8 cyl.... there had been a sedan named Deauville... ;)... but the picture is more, I'd say, of a 2 doors, and De Tomaso made some (Pantera comes to my mind... but its rear window was smaller, I think)

Jensen (UK) and Monteverdi (Switzerland) used Chrysler engines, and De Tomaso (Italy) used a Ford engine. The Fidia did have a Chevy engine, but the door handle as I recall is unlike Rona|d's photo.

Sorry for the late answer guys, a loooong day.

How about a Jensen!

Not bad, normally I´d expect the model too, but in case of Jensen it´s not too difficult, so it´s your turn!

The Interceptor was a Touring design and the first 40-50 cars were built at Vignale in Turino.

Background story: Peter Monteverdi said it was his design he made for Touring, it ended in a legal dispute which he lost.
