Philip - the red car in your two cropped shots are definitely not of an Eldorado, but are of a 1966 Cadillac Deville Convertible.....and no, you did not remove all the badging...

That epistle above is my typically long & windy way of saying that Indeepthought is in my opinion entirely correct and that it is a Cadillac covertible...

Thank you Ivan but as I had already confirmed that it was Cadillac there was absolutely no need whatsoever to remove the 'C' badging from the wheel. I removed the model-designation badging from the dashboard.

I had also confirmed that it wasn't an Eldorado and the dashboard pic also showed that it was a convertible so I can't see where there was any doubt as to any of those questions.

Stuart guessed that it looked like a Cadillac and is correct. Indeepthought guessed that it was an Eldorado and is wrong.

You guessed that it is a 1966 De Ville and - from what I can see from the www - you are slightly mistaken.

See Next Post!

I don't have enough info yet, but I'd guess a Model 62 convertible

No; you do not yet have enough information but, in tandem with my previous post, this SHOULD cross the 'T's and dot the 'i's with regard the grille;

Ooops!......[blush]...[blush]...[blush]......

Apologies due to all and to Ivan in particular.

I had believed (having read the Wiki entry) the car to be a 1965 Cadillac DeVille but, having just popped 'round the corner to have a better look at the front of the car - in particular the running-lights which I had previously missed noticing - have changed my mind and think that Ivan is completely correct in that it is, in fact, a 1966 model-year example. It seems I was attributing the design changes for the 1967 car to that of the previous year and I messed-up.

Mea Culpa, obviously, for having misled you all with my comments at the end of post #21962.

Full reverse-angle snap and as close as I could get to obtaining a frontal snap - hence my confusion with the details of the frontal grille treatment;

Cadillac, it seems, were 'doing a facelift' yearly. Here's the link to the relevant Wiki entry for the model. This one comes under the '3rd Generation 1965 - 1970 bit;

Sorry once more for the brain-fart. Thanks for playing, folks, and Ivan gets to choose the next car!

I've seen smaller supertankers! :D

It certainly has Presence!......

I asked the owner whether there was ever any difficulty finding parking spaces sufficiently large. To post their reply would contravene Forum rules......😸......

Ah, finny convertible land yacht. I remember those. I think my Lancia Fulvia will fit in the trunk... 🤣

I've been too busy enjoying driving said Fulvia around to take many photos lately. It's running just beautifully now and the Abarth exhaust really sounds nice. 😃

Thank you, Philip. The immense General Motors convertibles of that era really personified 'wretched excess'..........not really driveable in my opinion.

This next one shouldn't take long at all. All I need is manufacturer and model name, since that will give us the year(s) it was made.

Lelmer, not Groupe Renault, nor is it French.

As promised, here's the next clue, and in addition allow me to add that the underside of the hood in the first image offers a significant hint about the identity of this car.
