pippy Posted May 20, 2024 Share #21768 Posted May 20, 2024 It's not French; it's not Japanese and despite the absolutely atrocious panel-fit it is obviously not a product of 1970's British Leyland. Judging by the wiper-location I'm guessing LHD but that doesn't exactly narrow-down the field. Haven't a clue! OK; as no-one seems to know this thing let's rule out some possible countries of origin. I can't believe those panels would see the light of day in Germany which means I'm going to tread on toes and insult some country here.... "The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland" England? 😸 Philip.

Indeepthought Posted May 21, 2024 Share #21770 Posted May 21, 2024 (edited) It’s actually Italian. XEV YoYo Pro.. 🤣 XEV is an Italy/Hong Kong microcar brand. The brand’s focus is on electric cars. The EV in XEV stands for Electric Vehicle. XEV produces compact, eco-friendly electric vehicles including the XEV YoYo, the world’s first mass-produced 3D-printed electric car! Best described as adorable, the YoYo is a compact electric car designed for short city trips. The YoYO has a top speed of 50 mph ( 80 kph) and a range of 90 miles (150 km) per charge. XEV, founded in 2016, is the future of zero-emission automobiles. Edited May 21, 2024 by Indeepthought

fotografr Posted May 21, 2024 Share #21774 Posted May 21, 2024 I haven't been participating in this thread because I just don't know exotic cars well enough. However, on another forum I recently posted a small section of a lovely 1934 DeSoto and asked if anyone could identify the make. Right away, some guy got the correct answer. I asked how he did it and he made the following confession. (The photo is below.) "I wish I could say that I'm a genius, but that honor goes to Google Lens which I used to track down the car's identity. I use Chrome as a browser and all you have to do is right-click on an image, draw a box around any photo, and Google comes up with a side-bar of possible images that match the one you're looking for." A knowledge of "Exotic Cars" is not a mandatory condition of participation. Quite the contrary; sometimes it is the most 'One-time Grey Porridge' cars which can provide the most entertaining puzzles. Please bear this in mind, fotographr, and do contribute to what is often a very fascinating thread! Philip. 1
