You think the Sensuale could be a good riddle car? Nicola Soprano would be pleased with that choice. But Stu should post the wonderful 4.4 ltr. Ferrari V-12 engine to irritate us. stuny Posted December 17, 2020 Share #14145 Posted December 17, 2020 Just filling in information - this is not the puzzle car. this is the Sensuale that Andreas and Ronald cited, a one-off (though not intended that way): Welcome, dear visitor! hektor Posted December 18, 2020 Share #14150 Posted December 18, 2020 At a guess, a 406 Gaggenau gebaut
hektor Posted December 18, 2020 Share #14151 Posted December 18, 2020 Maybe a 417. I know little about the ubiquitous Unimog. Not exactly a driver's car.
Rona!d Posted December 18, 2020 Share #14152 Posted December 18, 2020 None of them, Hektor. The 406 was larger, the 417 younger (rectangular head beams in the front bumper, not in the grille). This model has a modified passengers car engine, not a truck engine. It was a model which filled the gap between the old small 411 and larger 406. Which one is it? Welcome, dear visitor! hektor Posted December 18, 2020 Share #14153 Posted December 18, 2020 Dear Rona!d, I cannot take credit for this one. Referring to Wikipedia, there is the Unimog S, the 406 family and the 407 / 408 between the 411 and the 417. Add the complexity of the varients/bodies/applications in each series, it is beyond me. I think you will have to enlighten us.

One hint are the little circular side vents and the narrower body (than 406) at the convertible versions. Also the missing air snorkel which most 406 have on the left side. If this model has an air snorkel, it would be on the right side. Motorwise this light model has a 4 cyl. Diesel from MB cars, the 406 has a heavier and more powerful 6 cyl. stuny Posted December 18, 2020 Share #14155 Posted December 18, 2020 Whichever it is, it's kind of cute. I'd only be able to solve this with Google's help, so I pass.
Rona!d Posted December 18, 2020 Share #14156 Posted December 18, 2020 OK, nobody? It´s an U421. You might know the vehicles which used the same engines over the years: W121 (190D Ponton) W110 190D/200D (tail fin) W115 (/8 - 200D, 220D, 240D) W123 (220D, 240D) W460 (G-Class 240GD)
