Hektor, I was waiting for Graham to pose the obvious question but, as he hasn't turned up to do so, I'll ask it.  You said it wasn't a 4 seater Morgan, and not that it wasn't a Morgan.  And it really looks like a Morgan.  So, is it a 2 seater Morgan?

Nigel I think by that time (53-55), they were only making the Mr .Blobby SM saloons, where the last remnant of the real Singer was the rather nice OHC 1500 engines, as used in HRG sports cars. This was replaced in the next model by the usual Rootes group fare.

Yes - didn’t look at the dates...was thinking along the lines of a Singer Nine

I would guess maybe an HRG but I don't think that many were made and HRG's were made for rather longer than that, so maybe an MG TD

Wilson

Not a TD, but close.

I had suggested MG TF Roadster?

My second car being driven by yours truly.  The shot was taken in 1969 by a friend with my IIIf and collapsible Summicron.

Hektor,

Did the TF 1500 have an XPAG engine or had they changed to the cheaper BMC B series engine, as used in the MGA?

Wilson

Good morning Wilson,

The TF, including mine, initially had the 1,250 cc XPAG motor.  In mid 1954 the 1,466 cc XPEG motor was fitted and became the TF "1500".
