Wilson came the closest with the suggestion of a 6c, however said 6c had smaller brakes.  Nevertheless Wilson came closet; in fact very close.

In the late seventies the 8c was returned to its original French blue and is now owned by Evert Louwman in the Netherlands.  The car was painted blue for Louis Chiron who first drove it at Le Mans (DNF) in 1933.

I  did not spot the "bustle" fin in the small crop in shadow, as our 1935 8C 2600 Corsa has a polished aluminium strip on it and a slightly different chassis arrangement at the rear. It was Jim not me who suggested a 6C. My favourite pre-war car by some margin.

Thank-you Graham.  It is anticipated he will be discharged from hospital next Tuesday.
