Sorry for OT - I found this one on a walk today. The car advertises some of the features of the 992:

Yes, a dealer - he mentioned that this creates a lot of interest. I understand that it is removable.

"Assistent" is correct in German. It gets more and more common here to mix English and German word, in particular as in some areas in particular for new technical terms there are no proper German translations (or at least nobody uses them).

Not as simple as it may initially seem.

The bonnet looks a bit wide as well, so I wonder if it could be a 54. They usually have 21" rear wheels and maybe even wider than the ones on this car. Given they have around 350HP from their supercharged 4.9L DOHC engine, every bit of traction is needed.

Last try then, one of the quite rare Type 39 Bugattis. I assume with Stuart's reply we have ruled out a type 35 and the brakes are too big for a type 37. I know it is not a 45 or 47, as they have an exhaust manifold on both sides of the bonnet for their U16 engines. Otherwise yes I would declare it or else we are just going to carry on going through the numbers.

Originally a Type 39A converted by the factory to a Type 51.  It is the Bugatti in which Puss Catlin was killed at Albert Park, Melbourne.  A friend of mine bought and restored the damaged car, and in which I have driven more miles than in any other Bugatti.  In incredible car which seemed not to accelerate, but jump immediatly to one's desired speed.  Today it is garaged in Albany Road, Toorak.  The shot is not as sharp as I would have liked, but didn't have a tripod with me.  Leica M4, Summicron 1:2/35 (II), Kodachrome 64.

Sorry about the delay folks and to make up for it I am going to give you two photos from old family albums. First one is of what had been my grandfather's car, which after he died my father took over. The 1938 Vauxhall 14/6 my father had driven all through the war, had not only been his business car but home guard transport and local fire-engine, towing a Coventry Climax fire pump, as the local fire engine had been commandeered by the RAF. It died not long after the end of the war and while waiting for delivery of his new car (photo 2) he used my grandfather's. For both cars, I would like marque, model and approximate year of manufacture.
