Rona!d Posted April 13, 2017 Share #9603  Posted April 13, 2017 Damned, I knew the crop was too generous ;-)   No problem, I just covered 85% of your generous crop with my hands in front of the "switched off" mobile phones display  Just kidding. Your crop wasn´t too easy because of it´s poor size and darkness the cars proportions shifted pretty hard. A kid´s model car of the named 917/30 was also possible.  My guess was only based on my visual memory, so I have checked my (accidently) pretty detailed 917 archive this night (just right before you have confirmed my last nights guess) to check if there were several siblings which may have looked similar but were maybe "smaller". We learn: First impression doesn´t lie and it was even the exact car I had in mind although I forgot about the blue color, I just remembered the shape and that there should be "AUDI" written on it ;-)  Thanks to a nice forum member and friend I do have some really detailed 917 slotcars but this one isn´t amoung them. Rona!d Posted April 14, 2017 Share #9604  Posted April 14, 2017 OK, I prepaired a set of interesting posssible next riddles, but I think it´s time to also invite non-experts, so the next car should be an easy one as my easter gift. And Lord, it´s a HUGE crop with many detailed pixels.   Car and maker please! Welcome, dear visitor! jcraf Posted April 17, 2017 Share #9611 Â Posted April 17, 2017 OK, fair enough. Definitely not at the economy end of the market, and an unusual colour.......
wlaidlaw Posted April 17, 2017 Share #9612  Posted April 17, 2017 The colour is the sort of colour often used on Japanese cars.

Rona!d Posted April 17, 2017 Share #9616 Â Posted April 17, 2017 Thought of a Phantom Coupe Series II or (Dawn) Drophead Coupe/Cabrio (maybe 2012/2014 model). Strange tape decor lines.

You've got it Ronald. Yes, it's a Phantom Coupe.  Spotted in Mayfair, London in May 2016 with Saudi Arabian plates. It was parked with this 6 Wheel G Wagon, again from Saudi. There was a third gold car too, a gold Lamborghini Aventador, all belonging to the same Saudi gentleman and shipped to UK while he was staying in London. (Photos: M-D and 35 Summilux FLE).  None of these were quite to my taste......the colour probably (!)..... although I did punt a RR factory demo Phantom Coupe around Goodwood circuit for several laps a few years ago and enjoyed it.  Over to you! Rona!d Posted April 17, 2017 Share #9618 Â Posted April 17, 2017 Oh yes, that guy's fleet created some attraction in London, I remember. And that explains the strange 1970s decor lines. He should fly his fleet over there again for Donald's visit. Might be safer than the Queens carriage ;-)
a.j.z Posted April 17, 2017 Share #9619 Â Posted April 17, 2017 (edited) Mayfair is a good place for viewing interesting cars. A lot of money but no garages ;-) Edited April 17, 2017 by a.j.z
