  1. last weekend had a few hours of low sunlight at noon which illuminated the foliage of the beechtrees. Still there was a glowing yellow and brown. Canon 5D MKII with Summicron 50 mm
Johan
  3. Out of curiosity, I bought an original Authenticity Certificate of an R4 Gold. I wonder why someone would part from such a document - the seller couldn't tell me because he sold for commission. The chance that a camera with such a high value (hmm, is that value or price??) is damaged in such a way that the certificate has become useless seems rather small to me; who would actually take it out on the street for taking pictures? And how big is the market for a stolen R4 Gold without the certificate? Anyway, if someone is missing his/her certificate, he/she can contact me. Johan
  4. Landscape of my region in autumn 2018. This belongs to my first series with my "new" Leica R3 and Summicron 50 mm. Kodak 200 scanned with Epson 850 V Pro.

    GOLD!

Having 'finalised' my macro set-up (based on an old lathe, two R bellows, multiple extension tubes and a couple of microscope stages), I have finally used it in anger. A friend is writing a book on the wreck of the Royal Charter (which sank 150 years ago this year) and asked my to photograph some gold 'nuggets' which were recovered about 25 years ago. Although too big to be really called dust, these 'nuggets are only about 3~4mm long and I shot them using a 50mm f/2.8 Leitz Photar mounted on an R series bellows and shooting with an M8 on a Visoflex 3 - a system which is producing surprisingly good results so far. Here's one of them.
