The new firmware v.2.1.1 for Leica M11, M11-M and M11-P is available today. The update includes a number of stability and performance improvements. The improvements: Camera did not start if the start process was previously interrupted by switching off the camera. Occasional generation of incorrect image data has been fixed. I wonder if anyone else if experiencing the SL2 freezing, no response, even if I switch off the OLED display and LCD panel still show information. This only seems to have happened after I updated to the latest firmware V2.0. The only action is to remove the battery and then start again. This has happened 2-3 times in the last week or so. So not immediately after the update, which is slightly more concerning.

Dear all, I bought the "reporter edition" of M10-P about 5 months ago. And it constantly has freezing issue. For the past few weeks, it's just been way too often, like 1 out 2 days it would freeze. I always turn the EV on when I'm shooting, and before it's about to freeze, the EV looks like it's having dropped frames, pretty lagging and then it would freeze, so I have to take the battery out and restart the camera. And many times it just freezes after I turn the camera on, I don't even get to press the shutter. Yesterday, I went out shooting and it froze again, but this time, after I restarted the camera like I always did, I found that the screen got a dark horizontal line on the very top of it (please view the photo I uploaded). I checked the photos, it's usually without the line on them, unless the ISO is 4000 or higher, then I got part of the line (or banding?) on the left side. Is this normal? Should I send the camera in for a replacement of the CMOS or something?

Hello guys, I’m coming back to game after few years pause from shooting with only Canon bodies (from 1D II to 1DX over years) which was really reliable work horse’s and never let me down. Now I would like to take different approach and want to start my Leica journey. I read forum and saw most of YouTube about M11 and I was about ready to buy one but then I saw thread “M11 freezing Issue” and postponed the purchase until it will be fixed. How this issues evolved? Does software [1.6] helped and solve most of problems with freezing a lockup’s please? I really appreciate all your feedback’s and observations, i can’t even imagine that I may have to swap between 2-3 bodies until I find not even perfect working example only better then before… thanks a lot!
