  1. Part of my 'return to film' project, this was taken about two weeks ago using my Leica M4-P and 35mm Summarit f2.5 lens. the film is HP5+ and I guessed the exposure. Hope you like it. Gerry
  2. Taken in the Soho area of London in 1999 and just discovered whilst trawling through my negatives. It would have been Leica M6 and is Tri-X. Gerry
  3. It just shows how slowly I have been working because of what has happened, but this was on the latest roll of film back from the lab. Taken using my M7 and Fuji neopan 400CN film. Out of the box maybe for me, but I hope you like it: Gerry
  4. Taken with the Leica M7 and 35mm Summarit f2.5 using Fuji Neopan 400CN film. Gerry
  5. A watchman keeps warm in front of a fire at this construction site in Southampton, England. Taken with a Leica M9 and 35mm Summarit f2.5, and processed in LRCC.
  6. A smartly dressed mature couple out on a shopping trip in Spitalerstraße, Hamburg Leica M9 with 35mm Summarit f2.5. 1/125 f8 @800iso post-processed in Lightroom CC. Thanks for looking, Gerry
  7. Taken in Hamburg, Germany, using a Leica M9 and 25mm Summarit-M f2.5 lens. 1/45 f4.8 @400iso. Post-processed in Lightroom CC. Gerry
  8. I shot this in Beijing in 1998 using a Leica M6 and 50mm Summicron f2 lens. The film was Tri-X. I have just got around to scanning it as part of my efforts to digitise many years of film images. I guess these streets have disappeared now since the rebuilding for the Olympics. I have just started shooting film again with a M7!
  9. Children eat their lunch against a fence whilst their mothers chat to friends at the pony sales in the New Forest National Park, Hampshire, England. Taken using a Leica M7 with 35mm Summarit f2.5 lens and Fuji MPN400CN film. Post-processed in Lightroom Gerry
  10. I decided to try out shooting .dng and b&w .jpeg fine on the M9, and this is the result. Post processing was done in a combination of Lightroom and SilverEfex Pro2. All in all I am pretty happy with the result. Caption: An Asian woman tries to persuade a disabbled woman to take a book about meditation, and then asks for payment for it. (Taken in Southampton, England) Gerry
  11. A teenager who is too shy hides his face whilst his friends pose for a photograph at the Southampton Pride Parade event (taken with his permission) Leica M9 with 35mm Summarit-M f2.5.
  12. There was a slight break in the many days of rain we have here in England, and I managed a short venture to the Christmas street market. This was taken with the Leica M9 and Zeiss 50mm Sonnar f1.5, and then post-processed in LR and SFX2. I hope you like it! Gerry

    The Ferry Trip

This is from my trip to the US in 2001 and was taken on the Ellis Island Ferry using the Leica M6 and TX400CN. I thought long and hard about posting this image, and finally came to the conclusion that less able-bodied people are a part of our society and hopefully this image shows a caring relationship and inclusion in the world. Gerry
  14. These two were taken on a trip to Barcelona in November to work alongside by good friend, and fine Barcelona street shooter, Lluis Ripoll. I used the M9 and the Zeiss 50mm Sonnar f1.5 for both, and b&w conversion was in LRCC. Gerry
  15. Taken in the shopping mall at West Quay, Southampton whilst testing the M7 and Fuji Neopan 400CN film. Gerry
  16. I titled this 'Was that you?"
  17. Scan #2 which I titled "Hitching a Ride"
  18. The following three images are from a film I shot in 2002 using the Leica M6 and 50mm Summicron (I think!) at a street festival in Emsworth, England. I hope you like at least one of them! Gerry
  19. Taken with the Leica M9 and Zeiss 50mm Sonnar f1.5 lens in Rouen, France Gerry
  20. Taken in Rouen, France using the M9 and Zeiss 50mm Sonnar f1.5
  21. Taken in the market at Place du Vieux Marché, Rouen, France using the M9 and Zeiss 50mm Sonnar f1.5
  22. This was taken with the M9 and Zeiss 50mm Sonnar f1.5 in the market in Rouen. Somehow it just doesn't work the same in colour. I hope you like it. Gerry
  23. This was taken in 2002 using an M6 and Kodak 400CN. I have recently scanned it and processed in LR and Dfine. I have no idea what the lens settings were but the lens was probably my Summicron 50mm f2. Gerry
  24. I am scanning some T-Max400CN taken back in the year 2000 using my M6, and I am working through some work I did in Paris that year. I am pretty sure this was taken with the 50mm Summicron f2. I hope you like it. Gerry
  25. This was just a lucky capture whilst planning to photograph just the building - sometimes luck is on your side. Taken in Paris in 2002 using an M6 with 50mm Summicron f2 and T400CN film.
