And to stay on topic - if my M8.2 croaked I would buy another in heartbeat. There is just something about that camera that pushes all my buttons.

I liked it enough to buy two...and not buy the M9 (after test) or MM...but after buying the new M I sold one of the M8.2s and kept the other as back-up. I'm spoiled enough now with the refinements (many) as a RF machine that I won't test an MM unless and until it comes out in a new platform.

For me, it has nothing to do with long lenses; rather the RF experience is better….focus, shutter release, shutter sound, battery, processor, weather sealing, build quality, PP flexibility, etc. (Plus it has the same 2m frame lines as the M8.2) And LV allows for easy focus calibration tests, even if one never uses it for anything else. EVF capability is just a bonus (or can be ignored).

But, having sung the praises of the M8.2 for years here (against the M8 naysayers), I certainly get your POV. ;)

Working on my IR with the M8.2

Lots to learn but I am finding the focal point on some of my lenses. Here are some of my largely unaltered images.

Really needs foreground fill - female mallard and ducklings should have had more exposure.
