Advertisement Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 Hi earleygallery, Take a look here London Meet - any ideas?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
biglouis Posted November 21, 2009 Author Share #102 Posted November 21, 2009 Just home myself, really sorry I missed the meet although, have to say, finished so early?! Next time. My staying power is inversely related to my age! Great time again and what a superb turnout. Amazing to think we have all met thanks to this forum. James, you were sorely missed as was everyone who unfortunately could not make it. I will be announcing my intention to go for a stroll on News Years Eve, as I did last year and again head for Borough Market where if nothing else there is cover. Probably a 11AM kick-off. I'll post a separate thread. So, maybe we'll have a chance to see you then? Once again, thanks to all of you for an enjoyable meetup. LouisB PS Film in Snappy Snaps so I may have some evidence tomorrow...

Oh, no no no no, it's not finished yet! Robert and I are still valliantly flying the flag at the Chandos although it's true that we have suffered heavy casualties and reinforcements would be very welcome! Pete. Robert and I are still valliantly flying the flag at the Chandos although it's true that we have suffered heavy casualties and reinforcements would be very welcome! Pete. I could be there in an hour!! Then again its cold and raining outside....... Maybe we can squeeze another meet in before Christmas, even if it's a mid week meet for 'local' people? I'm not working just now, so life is just one long social whirl at the moment I could have come along this morning but only for an hour or so and I know I would've been tempted to stay longer......... Seeingeye Posted November 21, 2009 Share #105 Posted November 21, 2009 Hi Everyone Have just got home, having had a really great day. It was good to meet you all and the rain holding off long enough for the stroll to the Chandos was an additional bonus. Thanks for making a newbie so welcome and I hope to see you all again soon. spylaw4 Posted November 21, 2009 Share #106 Posted November 21, 2009 Just to add my 2p of thanks to all for coming along and enabling the putting of names to faces once more. A really enjoyable day and the best ever turnout. Thank you all! James - if you fancy a drink and a natter anytime weekdays (except Wednesdays) just PM me. Louis - A great idea for New Year's Eve but we'll in CapeTown! Why did I imagine Pete and Robert hanging in there??

MPerson Posted November 22, 2009 Share #110 Posted November 22, 2009 As promised the links: WalkIt - "choose the less busy" option. Certainly in London it can take you past some interesting alleys/mews/courtyards. Megatron - for Weston repairs/refurbishment. Choose the link to "Euro-MASTER II Exposure Meter" and scroll down to the bottom of the page for prices etc.

viramati Posted November 22, 2009 Share #112 Posted November 22, 2009 Just to point out that most shot with M9 have been desaturated apart from 14 & 19 so don't look for colour accuracy. Thanks for comment.

farnz Posted November 23, 2009 Share #117 Posted November 23, 2009 A very enjoyable day and thanks to the weather gods for granting us dry weather. It was great to see new faces who I hope enjoyed the day too! A less shooting than usual but here's one or two humble mementos from the day, all with Canon 5D MkII and 80/1.4 Summilux-R wide open.
