Pete, that water is soooo cold. The dew point is ridiculous. Although wooden boats, power & sail, are everywhere, the dew is a major problem with rot. BTW lots of great old UK designs are very popular, especially C&N.

I was only vaguely aware of where Puget is, looked it up on the web, pretty far North; does a cold current flow down the coast and into the sound? Looks like lovely "sailing country".

We have seen many great shots of the from Brent taken from his canoes (kyaks?), I guess the water temperature will be pretty familiar to you Brent?

 

I could happily have this one on my office wall, to remind me of the real world.
