andit Posted January 9, 2009 Share #9 Â Posted January 9, 2009 Hi Marc, Â The sky in this image adds to the dramatic effect and gives the feeling of desolation. Great composition, timing and lighting. Well done. Â Andreas

Rolo Posted January 9, 2009 Share #14 Â Posted January 9, 2009 Colouring is most delightful. Â Quite tough to make a pic at such a location, so well done. Â Rolo
jaapv Posted January 9, 2009 Share #15 Â Posted January 9, 2009 An exellent image. The only thing I dislike about it is the sharpening halo around the seagull.
marc_dufour Posted January 9, 2009 Author Share #16 Â Posted January 9, 2009 Thanks for your time and comment, Rolo and Jaap. Jaap, I'm agree with you about the halo. It's the second time I repeat the same mistake, when reducing a large PSD format to a small JPG: missing the los sharpness, and correcting it too much... sorry ;-) Cheers, Marc
jaapv Posted January 9, 2009 Share #17  Posted January 9, 2009 Thanks for your time and comment, Rolo and Jaap.Jaap, I'm agree with you about the halo. It's the second time I repeat the same mistake, when reducing a large PSD format to a small JPG: missing the los sharpness, and correcting it too much... sorry ;-) Cheers, Marc  Do like I do: sharpen on a layer and then correct the sharpness with the opacity slider. It happens to me from time to time that I find I slide it back to 0... Another trick, if you are on CS, go to "fade USM" and choose Luminosity. Fewer artefacts that way.
