stunsworth Posted September 16, 2006 Share #1 Posted September 16, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) The light was harsh, this was the best I could do. On the plus side it adds a nice rim to the face. Canon 5D, 180mm Elmar

jmr Posted September 16, 2006 Share #3 Posted September 16, 2006 Steve, good shot - you've made excellent use of the light available, in my view.

stunsworth Posted September 17, 2006 Author Share #11 Posted September 17, 2006 Stefan, I was sat on the cafe terrace so it was a bit difficult to move back - other than that you may be right, it is perhaps a bit too tightly cropped. Tim, I have lots of other shots taken with shorter lenses, but I needed the longer one to get this. Thanks to everone else also, I really worried about posting this because I was concerned about the highlights on the woman's left side.
stuny Posted September 17, 2006 Share #12 Posted September 17, 2006 Steve- Lovely light, color, framing and rimming.
elansprint72 Posted September 17, 2006 Share #13 Posted September 17, 2006 Apart from the technical excellence, for me, the tight framing is perfect because there remains an air of mystery about what the lady is doing. Further back and this would be spoiled. Less is more. Cheers, Pete.
