Antonio Fattorini Posted February 13 Share #1 Â Posted February 13 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi, in the Leica SL3 camera there is no indication on the monitor of whether the image stabilization is activated or deactivated?

wjdrijfhout Posted February 13 Share #4  Posted February 13 Can’t find it either. It appears to have gone on SL3
jaapv Posted February 13 Share #5  Posted February 13 It should be. Software omission?
davidmknoble Posted February 15 Share #6  Posted February 15 I looked at my SL3 manual for all of the possible icons that can show on the display in menu mode and in photo review mode.  I did not find any that show stabilization mode.  It is easy to get to in the menu.  I wonder if it is a quick icon option.  If so, then it might work to see an icon indicating status.  I’ll try in the morning and see if it works that way!
SrMi Posted February 15 Share #7 Â Posted February 15 Advertisement (gone after registration) Stabilization is not accessible via a "quick icon" but can be assigned to a button.
jaapv Posted February 15 Share #8  Posted February 15 Yes, but the OP is not asking about the menu or how to switch it on/off. He is asking about the indication in the viewfinder. I have no SL3 to check but it is hard to imagine that it differs from other IBIS cameras.
hoolyproductions Posted February 15 Share #9 Â Posted February 15 I just checked this. On my SL2-S there is an icon for this in the top bar. Not present anywhere on my SL3 - I would never have noticed this though, I leave it on all the time unless on a tripod (for which I have a user profile)
jaapv Posted February 15 Share #10  Posted February 15 In that case I am convinced that it is indeed an omission. OTOH, if nobody noticed until now…

In SL3, no EVF/LCD icon indicates whether the stabilization is turned on or off. It does sound like an omission. OTOH, I never check the stabilization icon where available, as there are always too many icons (information overload). I was surprised a couple of times when my stabilization turned off after using the camera on a tripod.
