Friendly annoying reminder that the camera(s) you have, and use to go make photos with now(ish) will be multitudes better and yield way more satisfying results than the ones we don’t have in hand but spend time speculating on, and that whatever this is (or isn’t) isn’t likely to make your work any better in the end…especially in this case where focusing will only be the same or slower than with an rf.

I can see Leica doing a Q-M successfully with interchangeable M lenses, IBIS, and a tilting display for a travel camera that will work with all kinds of focal lengths. I only have M cameras, but I would consider something like this if the price was right.

Don't people realize that the Q shutter is in the lens, not focal plane?  You just cannot make a Q camera into an M camera.  Speculation about a Q with an M mount is unrealistic.

The latest rumour is that this will be more of a Q design with an M mount than an M design.

Sorry, I couldn't stand these bad renderings on Leicarumors. Here’s a quick and size correct »Q meets M-mount« collage.

PS: And yes, I know that the M EV1 most likely will not have the rangefinder lever above the sensor. But I leave that detailed mockup to the pros.

PPS: Looking at this collage, I wonder why Leica took so long to do this. 😂

Of course you can. It just takes some household tools and a bit of sticky back plastic ......

I think that what some people truly want is a Hexar 35AF. It could be done, as long as people would be fine with a 2.8 lens. It's that 1.7 of the Q that makes it such an outsized beast (owned one for a heartbeat and then thought this is ridiculous, may as well just use my M).

Not since the M11-D have I been so excited about a launch. And back then, I partly knew what to expect, as some information had been leaked. This time, I know nothing. Well, maybe some specifications, but nothing certain about the appearance.

the title alone confirms this is stupid trash clickbait geared to get views. save yourself the minutes.

Yup, they have advertisers to satisfy!

i am sure of one thing currently. The day or time or if there is even an offering based on rumors is just that … a rumor.  It gonna be be a fun month.
Meanwhile I took a short vacation and pretended my m11 was a Q and remain astonished at just how amazing the 28mm summilux asph truly is!
