I had the Fuji x100, s and f models at different times.  I used the adapters and found them heavy and defeating the purpose of the camera.  I wanted to like the Fuji but it was not a Leica with lower build quality, the viewfinder was crunchy feeling, and the ove4all image quality just wasn’t there for me.

so i’d vote no to any adapters or lowering optical quality.

It provides you room for in camera post processing, that's why. And it's not only Leica who is doing this. The Q43 if it ever shows up, is Thant likely a Q40? though one needs to keep in mind that wide angle needs this buffer more than a normal focal length
