Leica has asked us to invite you to take part in this survey. It is about many aspects of camera operation - with your answers you will help the developers and designers to adapt the operation of future Leica cameras to your ideas.

Depending on which aspects you have something to say, the survey will take about 15-25 minutes.

Leica is looking forward to your feedback!

The logic behind the questionnaire needs rectifying.

I selected only one later model Leica camera from the list offered but many older ones under "Other".  In the "Which camera do you use MOST often?" it would only let me choose the later model Leica camera, which is not the one I use most, and would not allow me to move onto the next page.  I don't use the later model Leica camera most often so the logic needs to be amended to allow me to select one of my 'Other' Leica cameras and progress through the questionnaire.

I was therefore unable to finish the questionnaire and I've wasted my time from trying to help.

Pete.

I filled it out, no problem.  But I found it interesting (and disappointing) that my Leica Q and Leica CL cameras weren't listed at all, so I had to tick "other". Leica should be just as interested in what owners of older models have to say, but apparently they are not.  My comments in the survey were about disappointment that when Q2 came out (and later, the Q3), the original Q was basically dropped by Leica- no further firmware updates or improvements.  I do love that camera, but I think for the money invested by customers,  Leica should support their cameras for longer.

And regarding the CL, I expressed my disappointment at the whole way that Leica handled and then dropped the CL system. It was so shameful that there wasn't a CL2.  I wrote in the survey that the only reason I'm holding onto my TL lenses for APS-C format is in the dim hope that either Leica (or more likely Panasonic) comes out with a high-megapixel full frame model with IBIS that I can use my TL lenses on to yield a 20-24MP file.   The best scenario would be if someone would stuff a 60MP sensor into a slightly larger CL-like body with IBIS. I don't see the SL series (or Panasonic S1R) as solutions because they're too large.

The survey is about the user interface, so I suspect comments about the CL or lack of updates to older cameras will not get much attention! I assume this will feed into the SL4, Q4, M12 (too late for the SL3S?) and/or S replacement.

Did those who listed a M10 or M11 as their most used camera get separate questions about those particular bodies (as I did for the SL2-S)?

Since I included video in my usage, I saw quite a lot of pages that others here probably did not, as well as the photography pages.

I listed three Barnacks and two film Ms under ‘Other’.

I listed an M10 and about 50 other Leicas, but I got no questions about interfaces 🙂. Thankfully, as I think that menus are for restaurants.

Odd that when I ticked 'Panasonic' (= Lumix), and 'Rollei' under 'Other', but no Leica models, my participation in the survey was deemed to be finished.

What's the point of the survey if Leica are not interested in whether and why users are satisfied with the interface other brands? This is especially so given the supposed collaboration with Panasonic but whose hardware differs from the equivalent Leica offering.
