As of now it's not listing any of the threads that I follow or have posted in.  Rather irritating.

It has been slow to download and slow to upload over the past couple of days.  I have 250 Mbit/s download and 100 Mbit/s upload that is, and has been, working as it should so it's not that.

Pete.

Hmmmm

I can read threads, if I can find a link to them (eg through Notifications), but my custom Activity Stream just produces the LUF headers but no listings, just the statement

  1. There are no results to show in this activity stream yet

Snap.

My troubles with LUF seemed to coincide with a recent iOS iPad update. Sometimes, only text shows. Other times, the forum has a normal appearance, except most images do not load. I am in the USA, using Xfiniti wi-fi, and Verizon LTE.

Edited to add: iPadOS 17.4.1 is my iPad’s current OS.

Edited again, to add: Well, my other, newer iPad, an Air, also with 17.4.1, has AT&T LTE service, and will load images that my older iPad Pro would not load, with Xfiniti wi-fi or Verizon LTE. The Air did not peform well with Xfiniti wi-fi, but, as soon as disconnected from wi-fi, the AT&T connection would enable the problematic images to load. I cannot say that my iPad Air, with AT&T LTE, is truly performing optimally, but most images seem to be loading well enough. So, the situation is as clear as mud. Multiple factors involved.

I have had the same issues for the last few days. Images frequently are not loading in threads but the text is there. I have tried different platforms (desktop, iPad and iPhone) along with different internet providers. Then, all of the sudden, for a short period of time, the site will operate normally but then regress to slow or no images in the threads.

I experienced most of the bad experiences listed above using Safari MacOS.  Safari IOS worked fine (checked both at the same time to try to narrow the problem's source).  Instances noted during the last two days.  Last instance was yesterday about 22:45 GMT.

One nice thing was I didn't have to suffer the slide show on the right side of the screen.

The forum now loads fast, again, for me, here in the USA, but, with Verizon LTE, and Xfiniti wi-fi, many members’ images are not loading. To see all posted images, I still have to use AT&T LTE. So, I reckon that the forum is now working well, but Verizon wireless service, and Xfiniti wi-fi, are problematic. It is a shame when wi-fi performs so poorly, considering that we do not live in a remote, rural area, but in the Houston, Texas metroplex.

The forum servers don’t know whether you’re accessing via WiFi, cellular data or string between two yoghurt pots, only which browser you’re using. All it does is send out data and your device interprets and displays that.

I noticed that at around 05:20 BST this morning the forum was completely unavailable, so maybe it’s been “rebooted”.

Ditto

MacOS Safari Version 17.4.1 (19618.1.15.11.14)

Ditto

MacOS Opera One(version: 109.0.5097.45)

Ditto

iOS Safari on 17.4.1

All are working fine, via Wifi

No problem using the iPhone on 4G either. All very strange.

Correction images do finally show up but very slow (around 5 minutes) to load. Our internet quite slow this morning only showing about 7 mbps rather than the usual 35 mbps, so images not loading immediately may be me. I still have a 40 mbps VDSL/2 connection, still via copper line, as fibre to the property has not reached us yet but PPPOE connection is poor. I will have to contact our ISP to see if they can diagnose what the problem is. Oddly just after I was on the phone to them, where they claimed there was no problem, my rate jumped up from 7 to the usual 37 mbps, so I suspect they reset my connection.
