Negative Space - Want your opinion

I went for a little walk in the evening and walked past this laundromat. I found the scene really interesting.
In post-production, I experimented a bit with negative space.

I would like to hear your feedback. Which version do you like best?

I have to concur with the comments above.  Negative space, when used correctly, can be an amazing framing choice.  Each version says something different to me.

The first and the second don't compare really well and the difference is certainly more than just the use of negative space. Color, depth of field and - possibly most important - the different positions of the heads make a huge difference. The second one appears more focused, I think because the persons seem to interact.

The third is a bit unfortunate in my eye. I think it's the narrow black area on the left of the window.

First is the best of the lot. Two different scenes, both subject and lighting/colour temperature.  Lots of different shapes - rectangular and circular. Depth and perspective to the left-hand scene. And geometric negative space. Only improvement would have been if their heads were better positioned, ie looking/talking to each other.

I love the first image that has a Norman Rockwell character to it - beautiful tones with great contrat between the colder blue and warmer yellow light - the two men seemingly staring into space.

The Second shot shows great interaction and the larger negative space, to my eye, enhances the image - stepping back a bit and creating a story.

The third image (which I think may be the same shot as the second) but cropped differently, works less well for me, I am more distracted by the other things in the laundromat, especially the door frame, drawing attention from the interaction between the men. that said had I shot the third on and cropped to the window only ( removing any negative space) I would be proud, as you should be, of the shot.

Congratulations a great series.
