I got this reply, so I'm guessing enough people complained about it 😆 "...we are aware of the lens recognition issue, and it will be addressed in a firmware update" Where do we write to (so I can at least register the issues I am encountering)? I can email our local customer services I guess….

hjddd Posted November 11, 2023 Share #204 Posted November 11, 2023 Actually the M11 series need firmware 3.0 or above。
SamuelL Posted November 12, 2023 Share #205 Posted November 12, 2023 Digital Zoom only works on JPEG files after upgraded to 2.0.1. It used to work on DNG files when in 1.6.2 on my monochrome. Customize image properties and Toning are all gone for DNG after the update. I found these features very handy as editing work can be minimized after export the files. Anyone experience the same problem ?
lct Posted November 12, 2023 Share #206 Posted November 12, 2023 I have no experience with monochrome cameras but as far as my regular M11 is concerned, it looks like a bug of firmware 2.0.1.

M11 for me Posted November 12, 2023 Share #209 Posted November 12, 2023 That should definitely work with DNGs. My M11 is set to DNG only. And it works in Lightroom Classic.

lct Posted November 12, 2023 Share #211 Posted November 12, 2023 Depends on raw converters apparently.

elmars Posted November 12, 2023 Share #213 Posted November 12, 2023 It only works with Lightroom as far as I know.
RobW0 Posted November 12, 2023 Share #214 Posted November 12, 2023 The JPG image is saved as a cropped image an cannot be reversed, whereas the DNG file has the info for the crop in the meta data and the full size image is saved. This means that if the DNG converter does not read the meta data the uncropped image will be displayed.

It generates full sized DNG with embedded crop instructions. Only Adobe software recognizes embedded crop instructions. 1
hmzimelka Posted November 13, 2023 Share #216 Posted November 13, 2023 I may have found a bug with 2.0.1... Somewhat difficult to explain but here it goes. I'm hoping others can confirm or deny similar behaviour. It relates to the sharpening value in Film Style settings in camera. I've noticed that my Live View feed was a little soft, so I went into my camera's Film Style settings to confirm if my sharpening setting was still set to 1 or 2. I set these high as it makes live view much easier for focusing. I noticed that my sharpening setting was set to 1, but Live View doesn't reflect this. So I change fiddled with the settings and eventually set sharpening to 2, took some pictures without LV enabled, and found my reviewed images to be very sharp or over sharpened. So I thought I'd verify with LV again and zoomed in to focus, and it was soft. I took an image, and the resulting image on the LCD was soft again. So in summary, whenever Live View is activated, the sharpening of the images are soft, no matter the sharpening setting in Film Style profile. Setting the Film Style Sharpening value is honoured only if no Live View is used. The moment Live View is activated the images are soft again. I have reset the camera, and set up my camera again. But the issue persists...

I reported 3 problems with version 2.0.1 and received a reply today that they are working on another firmware update to fix them. 1
