In times where High ISO‘s are no concern using the lowest possible shutter speed just makes no sense in my eyes. The result are failed shots like this one.

Leica users have joked about desiring the latest Visoflex, buying one, then never using it... Trying mine on an M11P yesterday, with the marvellous APO 35 Summicron M lens closer than 0.7m. I was disappointed as I thought the Visoflex resolution really wasn't good enough for closeups.(Of course, macro on my new Q3 43 will better serve that priority.) What do other users think?

Not sure where your disappointment comes from. All my closeups are shot with the Visoflex 2 since i have the M11. I find it easy to focus at working aperture up to f/8 or even f/11. Here at f/8. M11, CV 75/1.9 SC, MFD (0.5m):

Yes, could be that I’m a bit hesitant in jumping towards 1600. Though it’s not that I see a lot of motion blur here; it looks more like the first Noctilux 1.0 wide open. And at 3200 I really see more noise than I can handle. It can also be that you find it failed because you know it’s made with this lens.
