It looks like an OROLF. It is mentioned at the end of this article.

This one is in very nice condition

The photo shows an M3 with a kind of motor attached to the bottom, I didn't know there existed such things for the M3. Is this made at special request? Do you know more about the camera? As for the turret, I believe a few companies tried to make them for Leica M bodies. Is this a photo from your collection, or where did you see this?

Here are my "turrets", as noted there were quite a few variations in the H and F units. Mine has the flash slider attachment to set the flash sync. We are all anxious to see what is in the box below the M camera in the OP, so some photos of the back or interior would be welcome.

If these weren't by Leica everybody would be laughing their heads off at these. As it is, folks apparently think they're cool and even collectable.

The photograph of the turret sought, is a cover of a magazine that I found on the internet. I asked for a copy to obtain information, which I will put in the group. The attached photo is my current collection of turrets.

Interesting is, how these devices handle focussing at infinity

I never had one in my hands, but how I think how it could work would be to remove the lens flange (M39) on the camera body. Otherwise distance between the lens and film plane (Auflagemass) will be wrong.

Can you explain why "everybody would be laughing their heads off"?
