While browsing several neighborhood community forums I have stumbled upon what I consider the thinnest (1.2mm) lens filters I have ever seen.
They are called "eins SUPER PROTECT FILTER" from their UNX-9000 series* and apparently sport the German SCHOTT glass.
Super hard to get, these brutally thin filters are a perfect match for any lens that does not command an additional thread in front. I use one on the Steel Rim reissue (46mm, model UNX-9625)**, see photos attached. Regarding the thickness, B+W filters (XSP line) and Cokin (Pure Harmonie line) that were considered the thinnest out there are about 3mm in comparison, more than double the size of eins.
The package comes with a round rubber pad that is used to friction tighten the filter's threadless front.
The price is around 21 euros (3300 Yen), some nasty scumbag scalpers can charge triple on eBay. Yodobashi and Amazon.jp stock them sometimes but hardly any other major camera store.

*I am in no way whatsoever related or sponsored by this company.

**NO included lens hood fits the new Steel Rim with this filter attached despite its ultra thin size.

Well, if you ban everything from China, I guess you will save a lot… like it or not, most comes (partially) from China.
And if not, then the container your precious goods or food came to your country, are mostly made in China…

These just came up in the Summaron thread. They are part of the Meister range from U.N, an interesting Japanese company, though they have these made in China.

Doesn't that equate to 'Assembled in China"? I don't know what the 'problem' is here as, like many things, they have multinational origins. Refusing to buy China made goods will probably result in not having any batteries for cameras.

You mean the 'eins'? I think that's just their branding for the filter range - it appears as a logo in their catalogue (maybe they chose another German word like 'Meister', the brand they use on various photo accessories). Of course it doesn't matter where they are made - how many electronic components in Leica products come from China?

I don't understand this need to question China made products. China is the world's second largest economy. Take any leading global brand and they will have a production or manufacturing site in China, or they will use components made in China. Note that these are made to  international QC standards.

If you are buying a product and you are not sure, just read the reviews from good review sites, and just remember that at all times ' caveat emptor'.

If you read my first post where I put two ** you will find the answer there.

TL;DR: No. The ollux has an inner rim and even 1mm protruding is too much to click-mount it.

Indeed, people will be like “I ain’t buyin no gosh darn China products” and be dressed head to toe in Chinese made garments, driving cars with mostly Chinese parts, talking on Chinese built phones that were shipped in Chinese shipping containers and shooting their Leicas with a plethora of Chinese parts inside. Yes folks, in EU “Made in Germany” designation can legally stand on any item that is merely assembled (or even just packed) in Germany.

Woah apologies for missing out the disclaimer marks, thanks for clarifying, was too excited when reading the thinnest filter yet for 46, may be the 43 can be used with black chrome summilux and hood

Absolutely no need to apologize. The font was 8 anyway 😉 and it is never too much to repeat it again. Unfortunately the OLLUX accepts no filters at all under the hood.
