Thanks very much for this. My v2 is on it's way to Don Goldberg as I write this to be coded as the v1 reissue. I got the 35SR and am considering the 50mm 1.2 reissue. Would love to hear your thoughts on how they compare in rendering and “vibe” of the images on digital? Also read the review and these are by far the best pics I've seen coming out of this lens. If I don't get the SR by then I will take a Summicron V4 and FLE V1 with me, one on a digital body the other on film. I love Singapore, used to go there every 2-3 months for work until the Pandemic. In Malaysia a bit less often maybe 2-3 times per year. Going there with my family for the holidays.. first Singapore to enjoy that beautiful city and then relaxing a bit in Langkawi. I took it out for a spin today and really liked what I saw from the images i got at the end of the day. I either shot it wide open at F1.4 or stopped down at F8. junix Posted December 18, 2022 Share #237 Posted December 18, 2022 I finally got my copy of the SR reissue yesterday, production date 05/12/2022. Just in time for my trip to Singapore/Langkawi. First impressions.. the lens looks really nice on my silver chrome bodies, focusing is a bit stiff but it will probably loosen up with time, aperture ring feels a bit flimsy (especially compared to the Voigtlander Nokton Classic 35mm f/1.4 II SC.. in my eyes a direct competitor that I own for quite some time now). I knew both hoods don't work properly with a filter but I still cannot believe they did this, as I currently live in the desert (Dubai..) I got used to shooting with filters on so this is a bit of a bummer, like everything Leica I will probably just get used to it. First snapshots look really promising, glowy wide open and reasonably sharp stopped down. shirubadanieru Posted December 24, 2022 Share #240 Posted December 24, 2022 Mine finally arrived today, went to the shop to pick it up…as we opened to check everything was in order, there was a huge spec of dust inside the lens…will have to wait for a new lens, which who knows how long it will take..wonder if people are signing the quality check card without even looking at the lens?
