Before we all get into trouble for too much chat and not enough images - dug up this one from a couple of days ago - CL 90 M.  My other half still has all his bad habits, no changing him now.

As some wag remarked, they ought to jump to Crown, Season 7, with what's been going on the past month or so!

Apparently Meghan will be playing herself for those episodes

<please don't ban me I'm just repeating something I saw😂>

Again, I love the colour! And a good lesson in holding an ultra wide angle lens straight and level. St Paul's would have shown up any deviation.

Let him be happy. You've caught him beautifully, I trust he's pleased with that.

Before I checked, I would have sworn this was with a long lens - it looks foreshortened. I've found a used specimen which is on its way 🙂
I love the colours here.

I know. I was surprised too when I came to processing the photo. I'd done some shots of the pulpit with this lens but also with the 55-135 from further back as the framing was difficult. Until I actually looked at the EXIF I assumed it was done with the longer lens. The PP is with my favourite LR pre-set 'Desaturated Contrast' applied after processing in Aurora.

You will be delighted with the lens - I'm pleased that you finally found one.

Same PP as the first. And the framing is pretty much OOC too!

It's funny, I often think of these kind of shots as 'point and shoot'. It's not hard; find your composition, line yourself up centrally, check the lens is pointing straight and not veering left or right and both levels are straight and hit the shutter. Yet it's taken me years and years of practicing this kind of shot to get it consistently right. UWA lenses are not very forgiving and architecture like this is even less so.

A lovely photo, Jayne. Which M90 are you using? I've been thinking about one myself.

That photo was with Apo Summicron 90 asph Ken, I've had it a couple of years and it get's a lot of use.

Thanks, Jayne. That's a gorgeous lens. I've been looking at the f/4 macro, which, ironically, is very small! More for travel, I guess, and wondering if I'd see much of a difference in image quality.

I think the macro would be very useful too Ken.   I also have an older thin tele elmarit 90 m (2.8) that I sometimes take with me when I travel - just doesn't match up to the apo.  I took this photo here in Venice with the CL and 90, this was minutes after a fumbled lens change that saw me dropping it, it hit the paving quite hard and I just about managed to stop it rolling into the canal.  Results were a broken filter, a dent in the lens hood and slight dent in the filter thread - lens still wearing the scars but seems not to have affected the IQ thankfully.  One day I will stump up for a repair.  She wasn't posing for me but it was some magazine photo shoot going on so I took a few snaps too.

That's a terrific photo, Jayne. Maybe the lens really snapped into focus, after you showed it you mean business!

I like the duck too.

I just shot air and brushed off my sensor. It needed it. My monitor shows two on  yours. Upper right.
