LocalHero1953 Posted February 19, 2018 Share #782 Posted February 19, 2018 Early morning prey in the mountains. Golden Eagle on red fox. Photo taken from shelter. CL + (the excellent) 90-280mm SL at 280mm. ISO3200, f4, 1/160 sec. Wonderful! How does the detail hold up in the original?
helged Posted February 19, 2018 Share #783 Posted February 19, 2018 Wow, did you handhold at that shutter speed No, this shot was taken on tripod (and with the optical stabilisation off). I imagine that the result would/could be similar with the system being handhold, with image stabilisation turned on, obviously. At least with the SL. Wonderful! How does the detail hold up in the original? Very well. Not at the level of Nikon D850, but still very well, despite the high ISO. I think the image should print beautifully. The zoom is, as we know, amazing. Although it is faaaar too shooooort. Or, put differently, the 90-280 zoom range is fine, but Leica should definitely have a 400 or 500mm at f4 or thereabout to compliment the 90-280.
Louis Posted February 19, 2018 Share #784 Posted February 19, 2018 Exotic Cars in Design District, Miami – February 2018 Design District in Miami is a sophisticated area where you can stroll between the most beautiful boutiques of the greatest names in fashion, and among a good looking crowd. But this weekend, it was different. I was surprised to find the most exotic and expensive sport scars exposed outdoor, in the beautiful streets. I was happy to have with me my CL and a Nikkor 55 mm, f/1.4. ropo54 Posted February 20, 2018 Share #789 Posted February 20, 2018 (edited) Great picture Rob, nice puppy. Love the 35 1.4. Becoming my favorite lens I think. Thank you, Graham. That "puppy" is my daughter's 16 year old! (FYI, just to clarify, the lens is the M lens 35 1.4 FLE; not sure whether you might have been thinking it was the 35 1.4 TL. Both are favorites). scott kirkpatrick Posted February 20, 2018 Share #791 Posted February 20, 2018 Love the Lambos and the red Ferrari, but these are more along the line of Louis' "just stuff, preferably with nice colors." C1010880 by scott kirkpatrick, on Flickr C1010889 by scott kirkpatrick, on Flickr These are what the valves in fire hydrants look like in a country where freezes are rare (so the valves can be above ground) and we build with concrete (so fires are also rare, and hydrants get pretty old and crufty).
