Few mundane shots

I often take pictures of very mundane subjects that I find on my way. I always believed it is a good exercise to train my eye and my sense of composition in making something out of nothing. In my mind, a photograph doesn’t always have to bear a smart message, or represent an important issue, time, light, place or shape. I thing everything becomes interesting if looked from the right angle. A store window; any object at home; anything outdoor that no one pays any attention; a simple shape; etc.....

Those are extraordinary objects, not mundane at all!  Thanks for finding them.

Robert, thank you so much for your encouraging words. CL is a lovely camera with a superb sensor. But for my taste, I prefer the interface and simplicity of T. CL has a lens profiling for Leica R and M lenses. As Novoflex doesn’t have any electrical connection with the camera, the camera doesn’t recognize it and some functions such as top-right wheel magnification is not working. At least, I couldn’t make it work!... But while playing with it , I found out another way to magnify. Pushing the arrow on the right of the iscreen brings the magnification! ;)

Great shots. Which L to Nikon converter did you use? Does it work with AI Nikons?

Thanks,Dan

Thank you very much, Dan.

I am using Novoflex adapter for my Nikkor lenses. I believe this is the only existing adapter for Nikkor on T/TL mount. It works for both MF and AF lenses. But as the adapter doesn’t have any electrical connection with T/CL bodies, the AF lenses are being used manual.

Actually, all my Nikkor lenses are old MF (AI) glasses and I really enjoy using them on T and CL.

Louis,

To address your comment bolded above, when I use my R80 lens with the Leica M to L adapter, coupled with the Novaflex R to M adapter, I am able to magnify by turning the RIGHT side wheel. (I am also able to enter the lens code for R80 as well).

I'll join in the chorus, great photos of the "mundane". Equally so, I remain so very impressed with your images' colors and perfect exposures. Hats off!

Thanks very much Rob.

In regard to using MF lenses on CL, I know that R lenses are working fine with CL, and you can enter the lens code. But it doesn’t seem to work with third party lenses. I have this problem with my Nikkor lenses. I also checked in the Leica store in Miami and they couldn’t figure it out. I discussed the issue with Jono who I trust the judgement immensely, and we both concluded it may be because of Nikkor via Novoflex since the Nikkor glasses cannot be profiled and Novoflex does not have an electrical connection with the camera.

As I noted in another thread about this issue, I found out that I can bring the magnification by clicking the right “arrow” when the camera is set on MF. Actually, this is working fine and I don’t really mind to not use the wheel.... I must also mention that magnification with the top-right wheel work perfectly well when a native lens is mounted and used as manual..
