Went back to China for the 1st time in 4 years. Got to go to this cool City; Chengde' , in Hebei province that I've never even heard of. There's of course a million people there and the city is actually considered very small. It's clean and crisp and way up in the mountains about 3-4 hours north of Beijing (By car). The Emperors built a Resort there back in 1700. It's the largest Imperial Gardens in the world. besides the "Resort" the surrounding landscape is stunning.

Shot these 2 with my CL and 55-135 ASPH

I've been using a 7 Artisans Close focus M-L adaptor a lot lately - just because you can go from the above to below so quickly.

Is that a special type of adapter? (The close up aspect)

Yes David, a Helicoid Adaptor to give the close focus ability with M mount lenses, bit more information below.   Other manufacturers too, Fotodiox seem to offer many different mount options including M-L - little more information on operation on their listing.

Having just shipped off all my Canon gear for sale, I was feeling somewhat down.. I'm 82 in a few months, my outings are confined to our apartment gardens and I use a mobility scooter. I had far too much fire power, kept my Leica's CL & D-Lux7 plus the 23, 60macro & 18-56mm TL lenses.. So, scootering around the gardens to-day, I studied the flowers that had passed their prime.. (Passing Beauty)..

Couldn't remember if I'd introduced you to Boris (more to do with Frankenstein than ex PM's), our current Cockerel.  Total opposite character to Fred our last Cockerel who was such a handsome chap and very very friendly, you don't get close to Boris!  CL with adapted Russian M42 TAIR 11A 135 2.8 - really like the rendering!
