Had a 450 mile round trip today to just over the scottish border,

Even that trip sounds like fun!  I hope you got the chance to get off the express motorways 🙂

Stores are still closed in Miami

I was wondering how you’re doing the other way.  Florida seems to have descended into a class of its own in terms of COVID infections.

It was very enjoyable in these Covid 19 times Vikas, just to see some different beautiful countryside, having not been more than around a five mile radius since March.   Afraid other than the last bit which was to a little remote farmhouse just outside somewhere called Hawick, with lovely views over a reservoir, it was a straight there and back trip, given a little Puppy that had probably never left the barn and it's mother and siblings before, let alone been in a car.

Florida is, indeed, in a class of its own! A very dangerous and also stupid class thanks to a very bad government and brainless kids who don’t take this damn virus seriously. We have to leave home for food shopping and grocery stores are crowded with careless people!

i can’t even go jogging anymore because it is impossible for me to run without breathing and I can’t breath with a mask.

i spend most of my time at home, eating and drinking which is not very healthy, either. I have never been so out of shape in my life.

My only consolation is painting and drawing a little after almost 30 years of artistic inactivity. I don’t have the same eyes and patience any longer, without mentioning all the technical part that I lost since.

Well, I think we have to deal with it as we have no other options!

Stay well and safe, dear Vikas.

Happily experimenting/getting to know the Sigma 100-400 with the CL, just around home, no real wildlife to test it on, and mostly rain and grey sky today.  Not just boredom that had me shooting at 400mm in my kitchen, but finding my handholding and the lens stabilisation limits.  No surprise I find myself mostly at 400mm (600 equiv), I love the subject isolation and if careful with the background some lovely smooth transitions.

Tried some tracking - almost but not quite there yet.

No birds playing today so found a feather on the floor, was really quite wet by this point.
