After a few weeks use, I’ll (probably) keep the case on the M11. Doesn’t get in the way and affords a bit more grip but, most of all, I find I’m much less likely to jog the rear thumb wheel when wearing it cross body. Accidentally dialling in -3 stops was starting to irritate me.

I had the problem (with the wheel) as well. I now use the mode where you first have to press the wheel before you can change exposure compensation and this works very well for me now. I am still fast dialing in exp comp, but dont accidently get any changes of it,

I might give that a go. Currently I have that mode assigned to changing my user profile but I don’t do that very often.

The ADM case is nice. I have one with the grip bump.

But in terms of handling the camera I prefer the Leica grip - the one with the built in Arca Swiss connector at the base. The hand grip bump on the Leica grip is bigger and for me, it's much better located.

Anyone have one of these for sale for an M11 please?

Thanks guys.

What? Case or grip?

The AdM case for the M10 fits fine so that might increase your chances. The M11 case retains a concave curve on the corner where the M10 case fitted around the focus mag button so differences are negligible IF you are prepared to live with solid bottom of M10 case.

Nice one up on FM forums now- has the battery door and tan leather. I’m not affiliated with the seller in anyway, just posting this since you are looking for one.

Hi.. How very nice of you to have shared the above. I have registered with the forum now so I can make contact with the seller.

Thanks again, I appreciate that.

Regards

Andrew.

I’ve noticed that happening to me (I have no case on mine) a fair bit and am considering removing that functionality from the wheel. It is annoying.

I wish it could be set so that clicking the wheel turned the function in and off.

i can't imagine only 8 members of this forum order half case from Arte di Mano for their M11...

Would love to see all of your beautiful Arte di Mano cases pictures here....

Thanks

I recently purchased my latest Arte di mano half-case from the Fred Miranda Buy & Sell. The M11 owner was going back to a film M and fortunately he was willing to sell the case separately. It's a common configuration: Rally Volpe leather with tan stitching, open back, with the advanced two stage battery door-integrated USB-C mini port. It's like new, works well, and I'm happy with it.

Normally I would have ordered a new Arte di mano case for my M11-P with a slightly more expensive leather (likely Swift or Nappa) but I'm pressed for time, soon leaving for Europe. I have Arte di mano cases for my other Leicas also and I find they have better materials and QC than other brands (Luigi cases are very close). I have found half cases give a more comfortable and secure holding experience than the hard surfaces and edges of metal but I do add a thumb grip for good measure.

After some use, that poking bit will be pressed down to fit quite nicely in the corner.

I've been happy with it so far :)

I’m a fan of Arte di Mano cases, although I haven’t tried the Luigi or Oberworth cases that many people here like. I never took it off my M11 but now I’ve sold the M11 the case is up for sale here and on eBay. Discount for members here obviously!

There is a little step up there to the platform with the 4-direction button. The half case sits there on the top instead of sitting flat on the body. But that was  over 2 years ago. Old times . . .
