Leica CL discontinued?

I cannot imagine anyone who relies on photography to earn a living doing that with a Leica -- for many years since.  There is no useful difference in image quality, lenses or reliability.  Every commercial photographer I see uses Sony, Canon or Nikon.

I don't know if he's an influencer but kind of doubt it given that he uses old gear.

And there's a dude who shoots a lot of Hollywood types with a Q2 can't recall his name, but yes and I don't think they exist for that purpose anymore.  More for annoying folks like us.

Further to this, I got an email from Leica UK following a request I made this week about support moving forward:

“Dear Daniel,

Thank you very much for contacting Leica Camera.

Sensor cleaning services will be available as long as camera works. As CL has interchangeable mount it is easy to clean it.

Regarding service and repairs for CL and TL-Mount lenses. So far there has been no official announcement on how long the parts and service will be available.

Regarding compact cameras in general, usually the repair/service is available for about 8-10 years from the year of the launch. But as this is not technically compact camera, it can be different.

Sorry we cannot be clearer at this stage.

the IQ of CL is better than some M with M lenses combinations, which in the long term CL will shrink the Leica's heart M ... that is the only reason. CL is too good.

pity Leica killed off the TL/ CL series...
