Will the old visoflex 020 work with the M11?

Just wondering, as the 020 has built-in GPS (the new visoflex does not seem to provide GPS) and for the rare usage would be still ok.

the GPS of the M11 is based on FOTOS app and will probably be activated in the next update.. For now no GPS.

The manual said not to put the Visoflex 020 on the M11 as it can damage camera and 020.

😳 Good to know!

I heard about an update which would add GPS functionality via the fotos app in 09/22.

Does the M11 have the dust detection feature of previous digital M cameras?   It is quite useful.  It is a bit more fickle on the M10-R so perhaps it is problematic to implement with higher resolution sensors and has been dropped.  I have not found any mention of feature.

No dust detection option for M11.

The Operating Conditions are listed with a low limit of 0 C as with other M cameras.  Yet I have always used my M cameras in conditions much colder with no problems.  This week I was out frequently with my M10-R in -15 to -18 C temperatures.  The only precaution I take is to keep the camera in a bag back indoors until it is warmer to avoid the cold camera meeting humid air.  There is a recent article on Leica Rumours where the author mentions using the M11 at 0 F with no problem where as his SL2 had a focusing issue.  I have always felt the M cameras do well because the only moving part when you press the shutter button is the shutter (vs focus, aperture, mirror, IBIS).  I wonder what Leica’s conservative Operating Condition limit of 0 C is based on.  If it is lubricants in the shutter mechanism is it better with the M11 to use electronic shutter in cold conditions, leaving the camera on (Camera Standby = off) back inside until it warms up?  And if so, I wonder if an M11 using electronic shutter operates reliably at colder temperatures then previous models?
