This voigtlander lens looks amazing. Thoughts?

Voigtlander APO-Skopar 90mm F2.8 is indeed an exceptional lens.

It is one of Voigtlander’s finest lens. While not as fast as Voigtlander's recent 50mm and 35mm APO-Lanthar F2 lens it is optically in the same league, is well built and amazingly compact.

I did extensive research prior to purchasing this lens. While most of my M primes are Leica lenses, I concluded that for my use case Leica does not have an equivalent or better alternative in 90mm focal range.

Leica’s 90mm F/2 APO Summicron while providing outstanding performance, is in a different league in terms of size and weight. Leica’s 90mm F2.8 Elmarit is also larger and heavier and doesn’t perform to the level of the Voigtlander 90mm APO F2.8.

By way of example, I currently own Leica’s outstanding APO Summicron 75mm F2 ASPH. Yet unless I plan to shoot portraits, the 75mm stays at home in favor of Voigtlander APO 90mm F2.8.

When I go out with my M11, I often carry either a 3 or 4 lens M setup in a compact ONA sling bag. Leica’s 21mm Super Elmar F3.4 ASPH and the Voigtlander 90mm APO 2.8 have a permanent place in my bag coupled with Leica’s 35mm Summilux F1.4 ASPH FLE and/or 50mm Summilux F1.4 ASPH.

The Voigtlander 90mm is one of my most used lens. Case in point photo that follows was taken two hours ago.

I agree completely. I've had the same lens for several months and love it.
