Why buyer's remorse?  Fogg bags may not be the cheapest but they are better made than anything out there.  I'm still using a Bumble Bee purchased around 1989 - it even has their original Wanstead (UK) address stamp inside.  I have other Fogg bags but this remains my most used on a daily basis.

I'm sure you will enjoy your purchase for many years to come.

Errr, tongue in cheek I suspect- not actual remorse ….

Sorry for reopening this thread but not found a more current one. Seems I missing some important information on ordering.

I tried to buy a bag for years and always failing, if I want to buy directly within EU. How to order a bag as an EU citizen within EU?

As I understood beautiful Foog bags are made in France (EU) but to order one you have to do that outside of the EU, e.g. in UK with Robert White? Simply I could not imagine that the bags all are exported from EU to reimport them back into the EU with taxes on top the second time. That makes no sense, at least to me. Or is Europe/EU not the desired market place to sell them, which would be sad.

Also I never got an answer on my (contact sheet/form) requests on how to order directly within the EU. Is there something special to consider for requesting/buy a bag within EU.

Thanks in advance.

Maybe quite late to this discussion, but I did hear today from White that the remaining owner is going to sell the company, to a person now in training, who will take over production as well as repair work in the future. So, good news for those who are Fogg fans. I am sure there are others here who know more details about this.

Not surprised, as couldn't see Nigel continuing for long after bee's passing. Time will tell if the new owner can carry the Fogg ethos forward. It for sure will not be the same - but that had ended with bee's sudden parting anyway..

It is sad that Nigel and bee will not be producing the bags, but it is also the way of small artisan companies. I think it is wonderful that he is training a replacement, and I hope that she can maintain the quality and character. I think that the kind of person who is willing to take the time to learn such a trade is probably the kind that we can fully support...I can't imagine too many would take on a small artisanal photo bag production unless they really cared about the trade. I only heard a little in a phone call with Robert White, but it is my understanding that she will be making the bags herself and Nigel will be around to help after he retires.

I’m a big fan of Fogg bags - have several - and when I heard rumours that Nigel was going to stop I bought one of the last B Minor bags that Robert White had in stock.  Just checked their website and virtually everything is now out of stock.

I really do hope the company survives and thrives well into the future.

I am glad to hear that Nigel is passing on the business to a successor. I am a devoted fan of FOGG bags, and back in the 80’s was one of the few dealers selling their bags in the US. I have been a user ever since, and Nigel has serviced some of my bags and supplied me with a new set of inserts with my name on them for a bag I picked up used several years ago without them.

Jono Slack is good friends with Nigel and bee of course. I was so shocked to hear of her passing. I picked up several bags two years ago from Robt. White after bee’s passing so I would always have a FOGG bag to use. Their service is top notch.
