Japan Camera Hunter unveils cherry blossom-themed M4

https://kosmofoto.com/2021/10/japan-camera-hunter-unveiled-cherry-blossom-themed-leica/

Not my thing, but in a world of 7,904,671,774+ someone is bound to love it.

As for me, I'll stick with plain black with the cursive Leica script engraved on the top plate.

Would be nice if Leica officially did a feminine  inspired theme in their special edition M lineup. Have they ever?

Would be nice for a his and hers Leica. Much like gshock with their lovers collection

But my credentials as a Leica photographer would be on the line if I got this, so how quickly will it brass or will I need to get the sandpaper out?

Let us consult the recently discovered Dead Wetzlar Scrolls for a definitive answer.

Quote

Leicaviticans 3:23  -  "For it is written, real Leica photographers shall shoot only with M cameras and lenses that are black or silver, or Safari editions.  Touch not the unclean thing, M cameras and lenses which have been defiled with gaudy paint by evildoers who commit such vile and unseemly acts.  Lo and behold. even to touch these abominations thou shalt surely be smitten with sore boils from the sole of thy foot unto thy crown by the board of directors of LHSA.  World without end, amen."

So there we have it - proceed at your own risk.

I had a slight wave of nausea when I opened the link...it's not really my thing.

Didn’t they do something like that with another line a few years ago? I’m probably wrong but I’m getting cliched images of summer dresses and straw hats for the promotional visuals.

If you still want a Pikachu, you can get the hot shoe + lens cap version

I think if you are going to have something so hideous you may as well do some DIY (damage it yourself) like this M4 owner did

https://cameraquest.com/lm4ap.htm

Now that is truly a thing of beauty!!

As soon as my Fogg Last Waltz arrives, I'm going to send it off to the M4 painter and have him give the same treatment!  😅
