This restitutes the whole gamut of intensities recorded into a single monochromatic plane" It's interesting how the AD conversation can create the mono raw file. So from this, potentially future cameras (non Pixii) can also do mono raw as well. The Pixii website argues the resolution gain of true mono is minimal relative to modern sensors. The benifits to true mono is the small gain in resolution and added 1 stop sensitivity. The Pixii website also states 16bit AD conversation which means its higher than m11 and other 24mb cameras with 14bit raw. The Pixii offers neither. Likewise for the Fuji X100V. It would appear that equaling Leica M at half the price is not as easily accomplished as some seem to think...
