Not sure how this reviewer can state that the actual files « seem to break down massively » at around 1250 iso (5:50). They seem or they do? I had not this feeling when i processed DNG files uploaded by @loloboubou1 above. As for the buffer starting to blink after 4 images (6:00), it is not acceptable indeed but i have no experience with the camera.

https://pixii.fr/monochrome

So a monochrome raw file from a bayer sensor.🤔

"Our unique - patent-pending - algorithm computes the raw monochrome sensor values. We measure the influence of the Bayer filter to find the actual quantity of light received by each pixel. This restitutes the whole gamut of intensities recorded into a single monochromatic plane"

It's interesting how the AD conversation can create the mono raw file. So from this, potentially future cameras (non Pixii) can also do mono raw as well. The Pixii website argues the resolution gain of true mono is minimal relative to modern sensors. The benifits to true mono is the small gain in resolution and added 1 stop sensitivity.

The Pixii website also states 16bit AD conversation which means its higher than m11 and other 24mb cameras with 14bit raw. It'll be interesting to see the exif file of Pixii's mono raws

First thought: "Wow, cool" Second thought: "OK, no FF- Sensor. OK, 3k for the body only. Hmmmm"

I don´t know why to choose this camera over any other APS-C camera (Fuji).

For people that want a rangefinder but don't want to fork out 8k for a Leica, I suppose

Regarding prices, some people complain that the Leica M system is overpriced - yet the market still does not have a rangefinder with the same (or even close) specs as the M11 that is priced at $4500 USD, or a lens that equals the 35mm Summicron ASPH and is priced at $1900 USD.

The Pixii offers neither.  Likewise for the Fuji X100V.

It would appear that equaling Leica M at half the price is not as easily accomplished as some seem to think...
