My language skills are pretty much non-existent, Datsch, but even I can have a good guess as to what the bit circled means...

On the 'plus' side this screen-grab was taken some 50 mins after your post so perhaps Brendan got in there earlier?

Philip.

Ah! You are quite right, I think 'Venduta' does mean 'sold' in Italian ... oh well ...

Thanks for the serial numbers! All new to my list except 5492540 which has been on the Arte de Mano cases website, modelling a snazzy half case.

Thanks @david court

I now have serial numbers for 60 cameras.

They are in 29 batches. I am not yet convinced that the m10-d's were all built out to the full 100 per batch. But perhaps there really are 2900 M10-Ds out there, all being happily used.

It's been noted that Leica have a bin of hot shoes with serial numbers that they just grab out of a bin, and shared among models being built, so they may be built days apart (or even same day) but not have sequential serial numbers. I could be wrong but that is how I've read they did it in the past.

Using the same method as in the M-D thread https://www.l-camera-forum.com/topic/297947-m-d-type-262-production-numbers/ I had a quick go at seeing how many batches of 100 might have been made using serial numbers. (We gathered serial numbers and found only 15 batches, implying 1500 M-D's in existence. )

For these M10-D numbers I took only serial numbers that have been published, either as an image, eg in a review or for sale picture, or from EXIF info shared on flickr.

5332418

5332512
5332591

5332634
5332684

5333236

5332725
5332797

5488380

5488523

5492540

5500324
5500350
5500382

5500415

So that makes 11 batches I have found so far, which implies a production of 1100 cameras. I expect a few more batches to be out there.

If you have a serial number that is not in these series, please post it (you can xx out the last 2 digits if you are shy) ...

Thanks
