Large Q2 Monochrom prints

I wonder if a very large B&W print would show more detail with the Q2 Monoqrom over the Q2? I was watching a video of photos taken in the desert with the Monoqrom  that filled my 60" TV and I was absolutely blown away. Has anyone here compared? I guess theoretically yes?

Thank you. To sort of answer your question. I can see the resolution and detail difference on a regular monitor. When I compare it to my Sony A7rIV, I think the detail of the Q2m edges out the 60mp sensor. It's the resolution and detail of the Q2m that has surprised me more than the low light capability to be honest.

I would have to say yes.

With the Q2, you are starting with a color sensor and converting to black and white.  With the Q2 Mono you are starting with a black and white only sensor and creating a black and white print from a black and white DNG file.

A lot of people have commented how the Q2M produces much better details in the shadows than the Q2 can when converting the file to black and white.  The Q2 Mono's sensor also performs significantly better in terms of reduced noise at any given ISO setting than the Q2's color sensor.  All of those factors are a result of the absence of a Bayer filter in front of the sensor on the Q2M, and the fact that the Q2M sensor was designed from scratch as a black and white only sensor.   All the above adds up to enhanced detail in the DNG files produced by the Q2 Mono.

If you want to make exhibit quality black and white fine prints, the Q2 Mono (or M10 Mono) is the only way to fly.

Thank you for reply. This seems to be what most people are saying, and it makes theoretical sense. Is there anyone here that has actually compared same size large prints with the 2 cameras? Would like to hear experiential confirmation.
