Magdiel Martinez Posted March 9, 2021 Share #1 Posted March 9, 2021 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello everyone, I've had my M8 for about 5 months, shooting off and on, still learning its ways. But just tonight I realized that I couldn't adjust my iso out of 160, it's not a problem I had before. I went back through all my photos and noticed that the last time I bothered to change the iso to 640 was in December, nothing had changed, even the same sd card. I don't know if the problem stems from or its related to the dead pixel problem I noticed on my first outing with the camera. If anybody knows about this issue, I'll appreciate any suggestions or advice.
Advertisement Posted March 9, 2021 Posted March 9, 2021 Hi Magdiel Martinez, Take a look here M8 ISO stuck on 160. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jaapv Posted March 9, 2021 Share #2 Posted March 9, 2021 You have to keep the ISO button depressed to change the ISO, IIRC (long time since I used an M8 )

Select ISO, select AUTO or the ISO desired, press the MENU button to select MENU and then MENU again to select out and close the session.
a.noctilux Posted March 9, 2021 Share #4 Posted March 9, 2021 I just checked on my plain M8. - Push "SET" twice, if the line in red is ISO 160. - then with "v" choose 160, 320, 640, 1250, 2500 - then SET again to validate the choice
farnz Posted March 11, 2021 Share #5 Posted March 11, 2021 The M8.2 also has "S" mode that prevents changing the ISO so make sure that's not selected if you want to change the ISO. Pete.
mort linder Posted March 12, 2021 Share #6 Posted March 12, 2021 when you are in the set mode and select the iso you want , you have to push the set button again to set it . when i use compensation or iso , i have often forgotten to press set again , and the camera will go back to the last setting . if you set auto , then go to menu to set max iso and slow shutter speed . a.noctilux Posted March 12, 2021 Share #8 Posted March 12, 2021 When you push the SET button to select the ISO (320/640/1250/2500), what happens ?
Magdiel Martinez Posted March 12, 2021 Author Share #9 Posted March 12, 2021 After I push the SET button to select ISO 640 it sends me back to the menu (as if the command was read properly). After which I take a test photo, only to find out the ISO is sill at
a.noctilux Posted March 12, 2021 Share #10 Posted March 12, 2021 Something is wrong. Maybe your M8 need to be repaired. Just in case, in your place I'd reload last firmware( in Leica website the last firmware is 2.024 to be downloaded here (link) if you don't have it)

Thomv Posted March 26, 2021 Share #12 Posted March 26, 2021 I would suggest to stick with 160 ISO and adjust in post.
jdlaing Posted March 26, 2021 Share #13 Posted March 26, 2021 Are you pressing the set button a second time? After you press set and select the iso you need to press the set button again.
