Hi Mohammad,

Wonderful videos! I remember stumbling upon your machine shop video a few weeks :) I also really appreciate the ISO tests you've done, as I've yet to see a direct comparison with the A7Siii (I just sent your video to a friend who is using the A7Siii, to rub it in his face how much nicer the Leica is ;) )

In terms of your question and external recording, I unfortunately don't have experience with this. My lenses are all manual so I've been naive to this issue. I completely understand what you're saying about the autofocusing going to sleep while recording externally. The only solution I can think of is turning off the sleep option of the body. Perhaps this will keep the continuous autofocus of your lens activated.I understand this may hinder your overall battery life, so I'm curious to see if this is a plausible solution.

Thank for you kind replay, I did get in touch with Germany regarding this issue and I’ve been told to remove memory card from camera but still this will not solve the issue as the camera refuse to go in rec mode without memory card, and the other prob is the display off feature in the camera not the power saving, the power saving you can switch it off but display off feature max duration is 5 min and once it switch off C-AF will stop.... so waiting to hear back from Germany hopefully will find a fix....

regarding A7S iii compare to SL2-S, what is really interesting is the photo mode, 24 megapixel better than 12 megapixel in raw mode at high ISO that is really interesting 🧐 I had a feeling when I used SL2S first time that this is the best camera I’ve used at High ISO but had to compare it to A7S iii for confirmation

I have been shooting with my SL2-s for a couple of months. I have found that I like the HLG mode much better than log. It is much more forgiving on exposure and there seems to be much less noise at all iso exposures.  It is a lot easier to grade and the dynamic range is almost as good as log.  Has anyone else compared HLG to LOG?
